A fun part of learning about technology is exploring the history and using some older technologies.  Here the 2nd grade is creating their own filmstrips with lamination strips.  The selection of books are the NC Picture Book Award Nominees.

Fourth grade is working on March Madness. After selecting a team to follow through the tournament, the students send congratulations emails, research their college and team, and create powerpoints to share their information. After converting the heights of the players to inches, they create spreadsheets with inset charts. Finally, they plot the players' hometowns and explore with Google Earth.

Third grade is working on their Iditarod unit.  They track a musher, explore Alaskan topics, compare Alaska to North Carolina, and using Publisher, they send a postcard from the trail to their teacher.

5th Grade - Our 5th graders are finishing up their last Big6 research projects by choosing a topic they always wondered about.  Here they are in the Media Center gathering information and taking notes, both from books and Internet databases.
